What do I do?

I work with people to help them explore questions they have surrounding their lives. I work to promote a greater understanding of the challenges and transitions they are experiencing. Most of us at some time have asked questions of ourselves around where we are at, where we would like to go, goals we would like to achieve, or simply who we would like to be.

What Makes Us, Us?

We are the sum total of our experiences and our personalities. Our understanding and perception of those experiences molds how we interact with our world. Each time we have an experience, we add to this understanding and perception, continually influencing our reactions to situations, challenges, and others. It is the subconscious story we tell oursleves.

Understanding this story allows us to make more directed and conscious decisions about our lives and how we interact with our world.

Why Horse?

Our cutting edge process is actually rooted in the ancient history of horse. Horse as I refer to it is not just the physical being of a horse, but a way of thinking and feeling.  Horses have always been intuitive and emotionally present, it is an inherent part of who they are and how they live in the herd. Being horse-like asks one to utilize different parts of the mind and body they do not readily rely on in order to understand themselves. Working with horse can show us the possibilites to unlocking our inner knowing and find the answers within ourselves.

What Concepts Do We Work With?

  • Mind / Body Connection
  • Left brain versus right brain
  • Emotional awareness
  • Innate place of knowing
  • Herd mentality - thrive versus survive and common goals for the group
  • Learning how to emotionally connect with ourselves and others
  • Congruency
  • Emotional agility and intelligence
  • Open conversation
  • Communication is the relationship

What is it like to work with Horses?

Everyone who comes in contact and works with horses will have an individualized experience. But each will hold a common theme of connecting with that part of you that has been largely ignored and underutilized - the emotional self.

For me working with horses is magical, there is just no other way to describe it. It opens up a side of me that has been dormant and ignored.  This side allows me to expand my way of thinking about the world and hold a more complete and deeper understanding of where I fit, approach, and react to situations and people.
